Write for us
We welcome considered contributions about countryside cycling: the ways people choose and read routes, riding customs, bicycle design, cycling history and the changing seasons. We are interested in clear ideas, not breathless claims.
What makes a good pitch
Tell us the subject, the central idea and why it will interest a general reader. A strong proposal has a distinct focus, a useful angle and a clear sense of what it can support. Explain the proposed approach and flag any specialist knowledge, sources or permissions it relies on.
The shape of a contribution
We favour original, readable work that explains a subject carefully and distinguishes fact from opinion. Pitches should avoid unsupported claims, promotional copy, professional repair instructions and advice that depends on local rules or individual conditions.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please include a short outline and any relevant writing samples or links in your message; no particular outcome or publication date is promised.
A ride is also a way of looking
We take an observant view of cycling: attentive to the route, the machine and the countryside passing by. Our pages favour useful distinctions over grand claims.
