Editorial policy
Lively Cycling Journal aims to be accurate, independent and clear about what a page can and cannot establish. We distinguish general explanation from personal preference and correct material when it proves inaccurate.
Accuracy and care
We check factual claims against suitable sources and take care with dates, terminology and descriptions of bicycle features. Where details are uncertain or interpretations differ, we say so rather than presenting a guess as settled fact. Our material is general editorial content, not professional repair or safety advice.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. Any sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.
Corrections
Readers can send corrections through the Contact page. We review specific, actionable reports and update material when a correction is warranted; significant changes are identified clearly on the affected page.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence of a particular route, bicycle or event, and we aim to make their illustrative nature clear.
A ride is also a way of looking
We take an observant view of cycling: attentive to the route, the machine and the countryside passing by. Our pages favour useful distinctions over grand claims.
